Construction of equipment is particulary useful to the beginner or more experienced amateur radio enthusiast.

The construction of antennas is popular as well as being very useful.

Club social activities on the club evening are popular

It is possible to take part in a number of activities such as contests, which are a way to encourage friendly rivalry between clubs.

Field days involve getting the radio equipment set up outdoors.

Films and Videos are often shown at Risca as well as on the club facebook pages.

Importance is given to prominent amateurs such as King Hussein and many other leading promoters of amateur radio (RSGB etc).

Members are encouraged to help each other setting up new equipment etc.

Help is always at hand.

Progression to Instructors - Assessors and Invigilators

Many members progress by passing amateur radio examinations and gain licenses.

Suitably qualified members are encouraged to become RSGB assessors/instructors

Invigilators ensure the conduct of the exam/s follows the RSGB guidelines..

You Don't Need To Pass Exams
